Of course not! We also live and travel in our caravan, so understand the complexity of letting someone into your home. We are respectful and careful, you can either stay and watch (which most people like to chat as we do) or go grab a coffee. Majority of our work is externally, any work internally is very minimal and unintrusive. 

Absolutely. We are fully set up to test completely off-grid we bring our own power, water and everything else we need! We have custom made our truck to allow us to work on the road, no matter the location! Some of the best locations have been in the middle of no where!

This is a very good question! We are currently travelling Australia, bringing our leak testing AUSTRALIA WIDE! Check Facebook and Instagram, or the website booking for where we are heading next. 

We have a unique system set up that allows us to create a safe stable pressure in your caravan. We then spray a soapy solution onto the exterior of the caravan and look for bubbles. This indicates air escaping, where air escapes indicates areas water could be entering. Once we find those pesky spots we can then seal them up. Unfortunately we don't check plumbing pressure.

 Depends on the size of your van. Testing can take from 1 hours up to 2-3 hours for larger van or those with multiple leaks. We don't rush, we take pride in our work and want to ensure we are thorough. 

We do encourage to be plug into power or have a inverter for us to use, however, we can bring our own power source if 240v power isn't available.

We don't go through your personal belongings or cupboards. Unless you have areas of suspected water damage you wish to show us. We are respectful and unintrusive.

Terms and Conditions for Caravan Leak Testing & Repairs

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of leak testing and repair services ("Services") by The Leaky Van ("we", "us", "our") to the customer ("you", "your"). By using our services, you agree to abide by the following terms.

2. Services Provided
We provide leak testing, inspections, and relevant repairs for caravans, RVs, and motorhomes. Services may include, but are not limited to:

• Leak detection for areas that could allow water to penetrate from the exterior 
• Inspection and sealing of  outer roof, windows, doors, and seams
• Minor repairs of leaks and seals with the use of silicone or Sikaflex, patches, or other sealants
• Repairs or replacements of parts are not included unless otherwise specified and agreed upon prior

3. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure accurate testing and safe repairs, you agree to:

• Provide us with access to all relevant areas of the caravan, including roof sections, sides wall,      with at least 1.5-2mtrs around and behind front and rear toolboxes or bike      racks.
• All awnings and annexes are disconnected or in the packed-away/traveling position
• Ensure that all  appliances, gas bottles, water systems, vans, vents, and air conditioners      are safely shut off before our team arrives.
• Notify us of any existing  damage or areas that may require special attention.
• Understand that anyexisting issues not disclosed upfront may result in additional charges or      work unable to be carried out.

4. Pricing and Payment

• Pricing for leak testing and repairs depend on the caravan's length and size. Additional charges may arise if extensive concerns arise
• An estimate of the cost  will be provided before additional work is carried out.
• A deposit may be required for certain services, with the balance due immediately upon completion.
• Payments are accepted via  [include cash, EFT, credit card, or exchange of services etc].
• Additional charges may  apply if the scope of the service changes or if unforeseen complications arise during testing or repairs.

5. Appointment & Cancellations

• A scheduled appointment can be modified or cancelled by providing at least 24 hours’ notice.
• Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled time may incur a cancellation fee.
• We will notify you promptly of any changes to the appointment due to unforeseen circumstances

5.1. *Deposit & Refunds

· If testing requires us to fly, a non-refundable* deposit is charged upfront. The deposit will only be refunded if we cancel the trip due to not enough participants or due to circumstances outside our control. No refunds apply if you cancel, reschedule, or choose not to proceed.

6. Warranty on Services

• Leak testing services come with a guarantee of accuracy based on the information provided and the scope of inspection. However, we cannot guarantee 100% leak-free conditions after the inspection or repair, as certain leaks may be hidden or arise due to wear over time.
• Any repairs performed cannot come with a warranty due to the nature of the work.

7. Liability

While we strive to offer comprehensive leak testing and repair services, there are certain components of the caravan that we do not remove or unbolt as part of our service. These include, but are not limited to:

• Air conditioning units
• Roof vents and skylights
• Gas tanks and related fixtures
• Permanently mounted  appliances or fixtures
• Solar panels
• Wall vents
• Windows
• Bike racks
• Any other components that are hard-mounted or bolted to the caravan structure

Our services are limited to testing, inspecting, and repairing visible or accessible leaks within the caravan. If any of the components require removal or unbolting for further inspection or repair, it is the customer’s responsibility to arrange for this work to be completed separately.

We will advise on areas that may need further attention, but please understand that any removal or disassembly of the caravan's permanent fixtures or attachments is outside the scope of our services.

Additional information to be considered 

• We are not liable for any pre-existing damage, wear, or defects.
• While we take every precaution to protect your caravan during testing and repairs, we are not      liable for any accidental damage caused during the course of our work      unless it is directly due to our negligence.
• We are not liable for any issues arising from improper maintenance, misuse, or failure to follow our recommendations for care after the service.

8. Limitations of Service

• Leak testing and repairs are conducted to the best of our ability and in accordance with industry  standards. However, no service can guarantee the complete prevention of      future leaks, particularly due to changes in environmental conditions or      improper use.
• We do not test for, nor are we responsible for, issues related to the structural integrity of the      caravan that are unrelated or related to leaks.
• We do not test for plumbing pipes and fixtures and we do not conduct any plumbing leak      testing, including pressure tests for water lines or internal plumbing  systems.

9. Confidentiality & Privacy

• We will take all reasonable steps to ensure your personal and financial information is kept      confidential and secure.
• Any information shared with us during the course of the service will only be used to carry out  the service and may not be disclosed to third parties without your      consent, unless required by law.
• Please advise us if you do not wish to have photos of your caravan or repairs posted on our website or social media. No information personal information like number plate etc      will be shared. 

10. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we encourage open communication to resolve any concerns. If a resolution cannot be reached, the matter may be referred to a third-party mediator or arbitration service.

11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be editied and published on our website, these will become effective immediately upon posting.

12. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging in our services, you acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions.
